Some New Pictures

So, I'm up in the middle of the night...like always lately. The good thing was that Kevin called, so I was able to have a little visit with him over the phone. It was just really great to hear his voice. It sounds like he's doing pretty good. They're 13 hours different right now, so it was the middle of the afternoon for him. Garrett's sick; he's going to the doctor soon. Jason's mixed up about day/night...again...but he's sure cute and funny in the middle of the night. He totally was trying to play with Garrett. Garrett would have none of that and kept moving to different spots on the couch to get away from him; then Jason would just crawl or cruise on over to him again and bug him some more. Totally made me laugh. Anyway, here are some fun new pics of the kids.

How to Make a Mess - By Garrett Roach

Today as I was eating I heard Michelle express some shock. I looked over, and Garrett had gotten ahold of all the folders containing her important documents. So, I thought you should all see why my house never stays clean. Enjoy!

Caiti playing dress up.

Caiti found one of aunt Michelle's dresses. She brought it to her and wanted aunt Michelle to put it on her. So, this is a picture of Caiti wearing Aunt Michelle's dress...good thing you can't see the chip clips helping the dress stay on in the back.

While Caiti Was at School...

Today while Caiti was at school, Aunt Michelle was able to go with me and the boys to the San Diego zoo. She was so glad to get out of the house for the first time since she got here, and we sure had fun with cute Garrett and Jason.

Since Aunt Michelle Got Here...

So, Aunt Michelle got here Thursday night. She is going to stay with us while Kevin is deployed, and we are soooo happy to have her here. This blog is about what we have been up to since Aunt Michelle got here.

First off, we got us a "new" couch with part of our tax return. We absolutely love it. Sorry the picture is so blurry. This shows Uncle Steve and I enjoying the brown leather sectional with reclining seats. The kids are in heaven with this couch. They like to lounge all over it and climb on it and run back and forth across the very long couch. I'm just glad to get rid of our old living room furniture that had definitely seen better days. Jason has done a lot of laughing since Aunt Michelle got here which is what he is doing here, but actually the main reason for this picture is for Kevin to see his CUTE top teeth.
Jason also loves watching Garrett and Caiti. I think he finds it very entertaining and can't wait until he gets a little bigger so he can play with them.

But for now, he can just play with his sunburned mommy.

Garrett has loved being spiritual and reading out of Aunt Michelle's scriptures. :)

Garrett also has been constantly giving Aunt Michelle hugs and sitting on her shoulders, feet, etc. Good thing Aunt Michelle isn't claustrophobic.

Caiti decided to help Aunt Michelle unpack. She was in charge of unpacking the red box. She did a great job. What a good helper!

So, as you can see, we are all very happy now that we have Aunt Michelle around to make things a little more fun around here.

So Scary

So I have finally figured out why Jason cries hysterically sometimes when we watch Sesame Street. Jason is terrified of Snuffleupagus. Ha ha. Actually, he is kind of creepy looking.

Jason was way too wiggly. This was the best picture we could get.

Jason's and My Adventure

So now that both Caiti and Garrett have preschool, Jason and I have some fun time for ourselves during the day. It is so nice to be with my cute little boy. Yesterday as I was watching Jason cruise back and forth on our couch, I thought, "Jason really needs a walker." So, being the Craigslist fan that I am, I looked on Craigslist to see if there was anyone selling a cheap walker nearby. The first entry was for a place called The Children's Cottage. It's basically the same as Once Upon a Child. They were advertising an inexpensive used walker. So, we decided to go somewhere new and see what they had to offer. The store was in Poway. I had never been there, but I used my trusty GPS to get us there. It took a while, so I probably won't go back, but it was fun to see a new part of San Diego. We found Jason a great walker for a great deal. When we got home, he tried it out...and totally hated it...until I pulled out the camera and he cheesed it up. I guess he will have to grow into it.

My Kitchen Visitors

Just thought I would post a cute illustration of how Caiti's mind works. I don't know where she got her organizational skills. Definitely not from me. I had to smile when I walked in the kitchen and these guys were waiting to greet me.
