Jason spent most of the time asleep in the car with Aunt Michelle which is why there aren't any pics of him. Aunt Michelle was busy trying to get this huge ball thingy blown up so everyone could play with it...although it took the whole time to blow up because you had to blow up each individual part. That is okay though because it is the main attraction at home right now.

Memorial Day Picnick
So this Memorial Day, we were brave and went to the ward picnick. I've never gone to a church activity with the kids that involved food since our first Halloween party here in California when they were stealing everyone's cupcakes, etc. Luckily, their tutor came along and so did Aunt Michelle. They did so great. We all had a nice time, nobody got hurt, and everyone kept their hands to themselves and ate their own food. :)

Washing Hands Poem
As part of the potty training process, we are working on teaching our kids how to properly wash their hands. I was pretty proud of myself for this little poem I made up. (I got all the images off of google images.)
Turn on the water and don’t forget to get your hands nice and wet.
Get some soap it is no trouble. Scrub your hands to make some bubbles.
Scrub the front, the back and between the fingers. That way no more dirt will linger.
Put your hands in the water stream and rinse them off. Now they’re nice and clean.

Dry your hands, and you’re all done. Now you can go back to your fun.

Mother's Day Autism Style
Our Mother's Day was pretty nice. Aunt Michelle was here, and we had some family time and watched "The King's Speech." My kids gave me lots of cute hugs and smiles and were very sweet.
This morning I was getting their backpacks all set for school and realized there were Mother's Day cards inside. I loved how their teacher helped my kids communicate their Mother's Day messages. :)
That made my day. I'm a lucky mom. :)

Crappy Easter
Caiti ended up with a broken arm on Easter. No egg hunt or Sunday Service for us. We got to spend the day in the ER. At least she got to wear her pretty new Easter dress from Aunt Michelle. The color of her cast with the color of her dress did feel quite Eastery...

Jason's First Bus Ride
So Jason started school on his birthday, but transportation wasn't set up yet. Today was his first day riding the bus. Very exciting!
